|Ten Thousand Villages provides 20,000 artisans from 30 developing countries with the opportunity to earn sustainable income through fair trade retail sales. You’ve expressed interest in seeing a Ten Thousand Villages store in State College, providing local shoppers with high-quality fair-trade goods and providing more opportunities for artisans around the world. Thank you.
We are also excited to see this vision becoming a reality! In the fall of 2016, a team from Ten Thousand Villages visited State College; they see our town as a viable location to sustain store operations. We are now incorporated, have formed a board, and obtained 501(3)(c) charitable status from the IRS. In addition to formalizing operations, we will need to raise a minimum of $100,000 to open a store.

We are working hard to build our seed fund and we are asking you to consider making a donation. Once we reach our seed fund goal, store operations can be sustained through sales and volunteer support, so we will not be relying on your financial support in the long run!
